Ebay : Global Shipping program


Hey welcome everybody to my blog 
today if i remember correct is thursday the 16th of december 2021 i want to talk about the option  that ebay is toying with for a new international shipping program  on the platform so i want to talk about this it was actually shot over  just before the weekend by anna steiner over at e-commerce bikes you guys are probably familiar with there if you're not  you lived under a rock. Also aina was the target of the ebay harassment  stalking  case so that's ongoing but that's where you may know her from she has a fantastic website that talks all about  e-commerce ebay amazon and all the different platforms since 1999 so she's pushing  22-23 years doing this.

international shipping program that ebay might be  hinting at and coming out with uh you probably see her aina somewhere behind me on the green screeni'm using but i want to  take you over and screenshot her ecommerce bites site and show you exactly what she's talking about and exactly what ebay might havecoming in the future for international shipping.

since 1999 and that's aina right thereso the new ebay international shipping program is on the way.  Ebay is readying a new international shipping option the company is surveyingsellers to get feedback on what features they would like to see it's not clear if the new shipping option would replace one of the existing programs for international orders or would be a third option so if you're not familiar with the ebay 
options of course i'll  told you in next blog 
 it will show you the difference between global shipping and ebay international standard delivery so the ebay global shipping program which launched in 2012 is under the program the is only responsible for sending your packages to a domestic address which is in kentucky and ebay shipping partner takes over from there now the problem with that is they charge a pretty high price to your international potential customers so it does dissuade a lot of them from buying that way the ebay international standard delivery.


 i would never use the international standard delivery for because i'm responsible for getting all the way to them under the global shipping program. I  only have to get it to kentucky and we're all set i'm protectedcountries with really bad customs with corrupt customs like venezuela would never be a country i would ship to i'm sorry if you might be from venezuela who are reading  this but it's just known andnotorious for bad customs  there's some other places that are just not okayplaces like europe like england france germany they're generally safe australia's safe you know countries like switzerland and scotland and uh finland and denmark and the netherlands all those european countries are generally 
okay 
canada is okay you know mexico can be okay the south american countries they're iffy there's a few that  i'm weary of you know the african countries i tend to stay away from abu dhabi  you know all of the middle eastern countries. That are like popular tourist things  like  over on the  golf you know the the golf there uh where does everybody. Go abu dhabi like  where american troops are any apos any of that sort of stuff generally am okay with but yeah dubai i mean that one's generally safe so anyhow  we don't know if it's going to be a third option but here is what ebay said in its introduction to this this month's survey about a new shipping service we're evaluating opportunities to enhance and simplify our current international shipping experience we'd like to get your feedback on the features you find most appealing uh we're also looking to get your input on the names we're considering for a potential new service. We've also heard that ebay conducted a survey last month about the metric sellers use have you taken any surveys recently that might indicate what new features are coming to the site there was one about people talking about they took a survey for influencers and then a lot of people commenting below about all their experience with international so you can read all of those they do have a new international 
program i'll definitely write a blog on it
